There’s something magical about Halloween. The air gets a little crisper, the days grow shorter, and suddenly, everywhere you look, there's an unmistakable shift toward all things eerie!
For us at Glitter-Arty, Halloween isn’t just another event on our calendar—it’s a season that calls for some of our most creative and memorable work. Each year, we’re invited into a world of ghosts, ghouls, glam, and glitter, and every event has its own story to tell.
Join us for an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at our typical Halloween gigs!
The Corporate Haunts: A Ghostly Gathering of Grown-Ups
Imagine an office space adorned with cobwebs and pumpkins. It's a typical day at work, but instead of PowerPoint presentations, there are zombies at the water cooler and witches sipping coffee. This is the world we step into when we collaborate with corporate clients like Amazon and Asda, transforming their office parties into extraordinary Halloween spectacles.
We arrive prepared to create everything from blood-curdling skulls to darkly enchanting masquerade looks. As the workday talk shifts to all things festive, you can hear the excited whispers of colleagues admiring each other's ghoulish transformations. There's something special about watching grown-ups let their guard down and embrace the Halloween spirit.
Who would’ve thought the CEO could make such a convincing zombie?
It’s not just the adults who join in the fun. At family corporate events, both kids and parents gather around our Halloween face painting stations, eager to see what thrilling surprises we’ll create for them. One moment, we’re painting a ferocious vampire for Dad, and the next, we’re crafting a glittery, glowing ghost for his daughter. It's a beautiful whirlwind of creativity, and we love every second of it.
Public Spectaculars: Halloween Face Painting Stations at Shopping Centres!
Then, there are the public events—the bustling shopping centres and town centres where families wander through, drawn in by the allure of free face painting.
At first, it’s all wide-eyed kids nervously deciding their favourite designs, but before you know it, the adults are eyeing the brush too. We’ve lost count of how many times we’ve been mid-way through a pumpkin design on a 7-year-old, only to be asked by a parent, “Can adults join in?”
These public events give us a unique opportunity to connect with a wide range of people. In past seasons, we set up Halloween face painting in packed shopping centres in London, Cambridge, Leicester, and Bedford, with crowds eagerly waiting for their turn.
Unleashing Our Creative Spirit: Halloween Makeup
Not every event is about speed; some of our most memorable moments come from projects that allow us to truly unleash our creativity. A standout experience was our collaboration for the marketing of the Halloween event at Up at The O2. We crafted a haunting Grim Reaper makeup look that perfectly encapsulated the essence of the occasion. Following this, we adorned the team for the live climbs, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the experience.
Picture this: climbers ascending with the breathtaking skyline of London as their backdrop, each face painted to evoke the eerie essence of Halloween. Our task was to ensure that the mood was as chilling as it was sensational. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the climbers’ painted faces glowed in the fading light, creating a striking and atmospheric scene.
These special projects resonate with us because they allow us to focus on every detail of each design, perfecting every shadow and line. From intricately detailed skulls to the atmospheric allure of the Grim Reaper, each face becomes a canvas for storytelling. Nothing captures the spirit of Halloween quite like the haunting beauty of face art against the night sky.
Glamoween: Where Halloween Meets Glam & Day of The Dead!
While the dark and creepy side of Halloween is always fun, nothing gets us more excited than a bit of Glamoween! Our Día de los Muertos sugar skull designs are a prime example of where fright and fabulousness meet. We have adorned countless faces with vibrant sugar skulls, blending deep purples, electric blues, and shimmering golds with intricate floral patterns.
One memorable Halloween event was a beautiful fusion of fright and fabulousness. Guests requested Day of the Dead sugar skull designs, each with a unique twist—some desired a blend of elegance and horror.
We spent hours bringing these visions to life, adding vibrant pops of colour, glitter, and rhinestones to each design. By the time we finished, the crowd was filled with walking masterpieces, ready to dazzle and intrigue. That’s the magic of Glamoween—transforming traditionally eerie themes into stunning works of art
